TIRE SERVICES

TIRE REPLACEMENT

Whether you ran over a nail or it’s time for a new set of tires altogether, the mechanics at Honest1 have you covered when it comes to patching, repairing, and replacing your tires. Not sure if you need a new set of tires?

TIRE RED FLAGS

  • Cracks on the side of your tires

  • Bald/worn-out tire treads

  • Shaking/Vibration in the tires

  • Low tire tread

  • Tire constantly losing air

TIRE ROTATION

A tire rotation should be done by manufacturer guidelines or every 6,000 - 8,000 miles. Additionally, you can rotate the tires with every oil change for ease of remembering. Tire rotations are beneficial to create even wear across all four tires, in return this also makes the car easier to drive and brake. During a routine tire rotation, tires from the back are moved to the front and vice versa.

TIRE ALIGNMENT

Our technicians and mechanics use a state-of-the-art calibration machine to accurately align your tires.

WHEEL SERVICES

The most common issue vehicle owners encounter is bent rims/wheels. More vehicles use alloy wheels over the previous steel, and this leads to an increase in bendability when hitting curbs. Bent wheels throw off the balance of the drive and can be a serious safety hazard, and need immediate attention.

WHEEL RED FLAGS

  • Bent or Dented Wheel

  • Small Pits appearing on Wheel

  • Corrosion or rust visible on Wheel

WHEEL REPAIR

Honest1 ASE mechanics and technicians can repair your wheels' damage, and usually at a far lower cost than replacing them.

The process to repair a curbed wheel also can vary but typically involves removing all dirt, paint, and protective finishes. The damaged area has to be sanded down, patched with filler if needed, and sanded or buffed to a smooth finish to remove scratches. Then the damaged area has to be primed, painted to match the original finish, and topped with a clear-coat finish.

WHEEL REPAIR OPTIONS

WHEEL BALANCING

Our ASE certified technicians utilize a balancer to place weights and redistribute the weight of the tire on the rim of your wheels. This helps create an even wear of the tire throughout the life of the tire. A common sign that your wheels may need to be balanced is shaking in the steering wheel.

WHEEL BEARINGS

Wheel bearings support the weight of your vehicle and keep your wheels/tires in motion. The wheel bearing is attached to your suspension system through the spindle. When the wheel bearing becomes worn, it causes friction and the wheel is not able to turn as easily. It is important to take proper care of the wheel bearings because failure to do so can result in more costly repairs down the line. The most common sign of a bad wheel bearing is a grinding noise coming from the wheel.

WHEEL REPLACEMENT

Honest1 mechanics and technicians understand no one wants to encounter high costing vehicle bills, and we always strive to repair issues to help keep those costs down. If repairs cannot solve the issue, we also provide replacement services for car and truck wheels parts, whole, and systems.
